About LAIS

Alaisa Peterson founded LAIS Ltd in 2024 after 12 years of working and studying within the industry. As a designer, she wanted to provide women with an elegant, classic, and environmentally conscious option in fashion.

Born and raised in New Zealand within a bicultural household, her mission is to amalgamate the cultural values of ‘kaitiakitanga’ with high fashion to provide high-quality pieces inspired by her love of iconic designers, without compromising on sustainability.

LAIS Studio, based in Manawatu, is where every piece is designed and made with care. Our studio is where we bring our vision to life. By keeping our production local and our fabrics natural, we strive to ensure that every piece meets our high standards
